Blooming with Joy: A Spring Update from Diverse Little Colours

The daffodils are out, the days are growing longer, and the warmth of spring is finding its way into every care home we visit. This has been a truly wonderful week and we could not wait to share it with you.

A Season of New Beginnings

There is something quietly magical about this time of year. As the first daffodils begin to bloom, there is a sense of renewal in the air and we feel it in every session we deliver. Spring is the perfect backdrop for what Diverse Little Colours CIC is all about: bringing people together, celebrating culture, and nurturing wellbeing through movement, music and joy.

Bollywood Chair Yoga: Loved by All

The feedback we continue to receive from care homes about our weekly Bollywood Chair Yoga sessions has been genuinely heart-warming. Residents look forward to these sessions each week, and it is easy to see why. Combining the infectious energy of Bollywood music with gentle, accessible seated movement means that everyone can take part, no matter their mobility or background.

These sessions are about far more than exercise. They are a celebration of culture, a reason to smile, and a reminder that movement and music are good for the soul at any age. The consistent, positive response from residents and staff alike tells us everything we need to know: this is something truly special.

Celebrating St Patrick's Day Together ☘️

This month we joined care home residents in marking St Patrick's Day and what a lovely occasion it was. Cultural celebrations like these sit right at the heart of what we do. Every tradition has something beautiful to offer, and coming together around them creates warmth, laughter and a genuine sense of belonging.

It is always lovely to have a cultural celebration and everyone enjoyed it wholeheartedly.

A Week to Remember: Workshops in Southall

This week has been nothing short of amazing. We had the privilege of delivering in-person workshops at two care homes in Southall and the response has moved us deeply.

Residents did not just sit and watch. They participated, they engaged, they interacted and they loved every moment. Seeing people come alive through music and movement is why we do this work, and this week reminded us of that in the most powerful way.

What made it even more special was seeing the staff get involved too. They sat down alongside the residents and joined in fully, dancing and exercising together. In those moments, the room felt less like a care setting and more like a community celebration. That is exactly the atmosphere we always hope to create.

Both homes have expressed their eagerness to have us back and we cannot wait to return.

What's Next: Easter!

We are now excitedly turning our attention to Easter and we are planning our biggest, most joyful activities yet. We want it to be a true celebration for residents, staff and everyone involved. Watch this space for more details very soon.

Thank you, as always, for your incredible support. Every session, every smile and every piece of feedback reminds us why Diverse Little Colours exists and this spring, we are more motivated than ever.
